Blue Mai Tai

Happy Mai Tai Day! The bar legend Vic Bergeron of Trader Vic's claims that he first created the now legendary tiki cocktail in Oakland on August 30, 1944. There has, of course, been some controversy over the creation of the drink with Donn Beach claiming his drink Q.B. Cooler from 1933 being the inspiration.

But since the City of Oakland itself declared the Mai Tai to be its official drink on August 30th, 2009, we'll stick to Vic's story.

Why not make it a bit extra celebratory and make a blue twist on the original to celebrate?
