Bluecoat Elderflower Gin
This addition to the Bluecoat family offers a soft, yet pronounced note of Elderflower for a light, floral, but undeniable gin taste, with heady fragrance. Bluecoat gin distilled at 79% and then steeped with whole organic Elderflower for two weeks at room temp. Perfect in lemon-forward profile cocktails, such as Vesper, French 75 or even a Martini

BOTANICALS

JUNIPER BERRIES
All gin begins with juniper; Bluecoat is no exception. However, our organic Mediterranean berries are unique in that they transmit rich, fruity, spicy, earthy notes.

AMERICAN CITRUS BLEND
While London Dry gins are typically dominated by juniper flavoring, Bluecoat presents a complex, yet light and refreshing citrus blend, comprising primarily of sweet citrus and lemon peels.

ANGELICA ROOT
A perfect counterpart for our citrus notes, balancing the body with its soft, slightly sweet, and woodsy profile.

CORIANDER SEEDS
The addition of coriander lends a delicate floral and slightly vegetal background, allowing the more prominent botanicals to come to the fore.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Rose petals and elderflower

Palate: Floral, with more of that rose-elderflower tandem, while also showcasing an herbaceous side backed by bitter angelica, lychee, and peppermint.

Finish: Orange peel and pink peppercorns.

Bluecoat American Dry Gin launched in 2006 at the very beginning of the Gin Renaissance. Philadelphia Distilling was the first craft distillery to open in Pennsylvania since before prohibition. Ponder that for a second. Especially those of you from outside of the U.S, just what a deleterious effect prohibition had on American creativity.

So, like a Revolution. Bluecoat American Dry Gin emerged with a bold flavor profile and began to stake a claim that this gin was American. American Dry.
