El Jolgorio Espadín is made entirely from Espadín agave (A. Angustifolia), one of the most commonly used and versatile agave varieties. With a 10-year maturation, this mezcal offers a well-rounded and complex flavour profile, characteristic of traditional artisanal mezcal.
Bottled at 47% ABV, this mezcal delivers both a strong yet balanced experience. It’s distilled using copper stills in a double distillation process, which enhances its depth of flavour.
Crafted in the village of Lachiguí, Oaxaca, by renowned distiller Pedro Vasquez Ogarrio, El Jolgorio Espadín follows traditional methods. The agave is roasted in underground volcanic stone ovens and ground using a tahona stone, maintaining the rich heritage of mezcal production.
This mezcal is both CRM and Kosher certified, demonstrating its quality and adherence to traditional and sustainable production methods. Water from the mountains is used in the fermentation process, adding to its artisanal nature.
