Maltwine (moutwijn) is the pot-still multi-grain distillate at the heart of genever. Every drop in this bottle was distilled in Schiedam's De Tweelingh distillery, owned by a family that have been genever distillers since 1777. 100% MALTWINE is the genever that powered the first Golden Age of Cocktails in mid-1800s America, outselling some other imported spirits by 450 to 1; it sold for the same price as the finest brandies and oldest whiskies, and was in demand everywhere from New York to Hong Kong.
