The Artesano editions of Mezcal San Cosme pay tribute to the diversity of original Mezcals. Wild agaves and traditional production techniques, from harvesting to bottling, distinguish these Mezcals.
Since wild agaves are rare, each bottling is limited to just a few bottles. Each edition is dedicated to one agave variety and its special characteristics. The production of these editions follow an ancient method. As it was done over 200 years ago, the agave hearts are harvested without the use of machinery, gently cooked in earth ovens, ground by hand and finally distilled in the traditional way.
Crystalline colour, with silver reflections. It shows high adherence in the glass.
Mineral and spicy profile, with clove and a mineral, clay-like note. Complemented by fruity aromas.
Begins with the spicy character with notes of white pepper and tonka bean, with a hint of mineral highlighted. The mid-palate remains fruity and fresh. The finish reminds of cooked agave.
Silky texture and high permanence, surprising balance and roundness in all its elements. An elegant Mezcal.
