Ayuuk Old Fashioned

This is a recipe that we got from our dear friends over at Empirical, a classic with a twist.

The smoky Pasilla Mixe chili is the sole botanical and the source of all the complexity in Ayuuk. Sourced directly from Mixe farmers in the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico – Ayuuk attempts to share the flavour of the landscape and lands in a smooth, distinct and savory finish.

Ingredients

• 60ml Ayuuk

• 8ml sugar syrup

• 2 dashes of Xocolatl Mole Bitters

• Glass: Izakaya DOF

How to:

Add Ayuuk, Sugar Syrup and Bitters to your glass. Add ice and stir until sufficiently diluted. Garnish with a Pasilla Mixe chili, dehydrated orange or an orange zest.
