Hemingway Highball

Constantino Ribalaigua Vert, the legendary head bartender of El Floridita, Havana, created the Hemingway Special (also called Papa Doble) for the famous author after he tried the bar's standard frozen Daiquiri and said "That's good, but I prefer it without sugar and with double rum".

Years later, Antonio Meilan added maraschino and grapefruit juice, making it the drink we know today. We've created a Barkonsult twist by adding Three Cents Pink Grapefruit soda, making it a highball.

Ingredients

• 40ml Veritas Rum

• 15ml lime

• 10ml Maraschino liqueur

• Top up with Three Cents Pink Grapefruit soda

• Garnish: Lime, Luxardo Maraschino cherry

• Glass: Onis Levitas Highball

How to

Build all the ingredients in a highball glass, add ice, and top up with Three Cents Pink Grapefruit soda. Garnish with lime and maraschino cherry, and serve!
